A mid summer day in our home town. Laneways, classic Italian fare and naturally, some time in the great outdoors, make for a perfect Melbourne day.
Around the corner from Hobes HQ in industrial Cremorne is a favourite florist, Glasshaus. Filled with plenty of good green stuff, you can find us there at least once a week.
A quick drop in to Melbourne Jewellery label Lucy Folk’s store in Crossley Lane.
Luckily for us the best Italian in Melbourne is located a few doors down, so we stop in to Pellegrini’s for a plate of Lasagne with nona in the Kitchen. (Ask nicely, be early, the kitchen table is the best way to dine here.)
No website here folks, this place is as traditional as you can get.
Post lunch coffee and some time selecting a bottle of red from the well versed team at The City Wine Shop. And if that's not your thing, Gelato and a bunch of flowers next door at the Spring Street Grocer should do the trick.
An afternoon tipple, or walk in the grounds, at the Abbotsford Convent gives us our much needed dose of fresh air and nature. 10 mins from the city - yet worlds away. Late afternoon is our favorite time of day here.
Drinks and dinner at local haunt Rupert on Rupert. The Melanzane pizza is a must.
